Thanks, in part to our Donors, Hood River (for the first time!) was identified as one of the top 40 most vibrant arts communities in America! BIG ART was specifically called-out as a contributing factor for being included on the list.  We were No. 4 for small communities under 50,000, after Vail area, CO; Jackson, WY; and Summit Park, UT.

  • Organization and installation of 88 pieces of public art

  • Creation and distribution of nearly 30,000 bi-lingual English/Spanish BIG ART maps

  • Development of bi-lingual BIG ART plaques on all artwork 

  • Orchestration of the City of Hood River Gorge Bike Hub "Paths of Water & Earth" by artists Angelina Marino-Heidel and Joel Heidel at 3rd and State Streets

  • Facilitation of Pacific Power and Hood River Cultural Trust Grants in The Heights for Relic by Toma Villa located on 12th and June Street.

  • Assistance Providence Foundation with the engaging "Before I Die Wall"

  • Supporting our arts economy by selling Swan's Song, Thinker, N'Chi Wanapum, Last Love, Mama Bear, and Peer.

  • Providing the elementary schools with an end of year art walk and learning opportunities
